Meet Jason
Jason Nelson, call sign, “Storm Chaser”, is a recently retired U.S. Army Soldier, and former United States Marine. His highly decorated service includes combat deployments, and humanitarian missions, where he served as a Civil Affairs SNCOIC in operations and planning. He is 100% permanently disabled from combat service.
Jason has three young children (Danger, Thunder, and Lightning) with his wife Amanda, an underwater photographer. They are expecting their fourth child in May, 2022. They enjoy visits to the zoo, rifle range, historic sites throughout Texas, and an occasional night out to dinner when they can find a babysitter.
Jason looks forward to tackling key issues that matter to those he seeks to Represent in TX-17, including: Veterans Affairs, Government over-regulation, medical freedom, unconstitutional mandates, and a climate deadly to small businesses and farmers. He will focus his service on passing real, conservative legislation, promoting conservative ideals, and focusing on constituents in his District. He has pledged to be investment free for the entirety of his service to the District.
